***CONGRATULATIONS, CanCan!!!***
her comment... I wanted these when I first saw it on ZRecs. You premium bloggers and your amazing samples! *shaking fist in the air menacingly*
Jojo is letter CRAZED...he would love letter ice. Also maybe I could make letter muffins? I'm pretty handy with the muffin batter. This would be fun for a birthday, to spell out the person's name in 3-D like that.
***CONGRATULATIONS, Tracye!!!***
her comment... I'd probably spell out the alphabet first... cuz I'm too lazy to really try to figure out how many of each letter I need!
But I'd do it with CUPCAKES!
Or CHOCOLATE!
Or CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES!
Or BROWNIES!!!
***CONGRATULATIONS, Ginny!!!***
her comment... I'd spell my kids names for sure. I wonder if these would work on ice cream? If not, I love that butter on pancakes, fun!
***CONGRATULATIONS, Heather (non-blogger)!!!***
her comment... I'd spell out my daughter's nickname - Camicakes - with cake batter! Camicakes cakes. HA!
***CONGRATULATIONS, mogrill (non-blogger)!!!***
their comment... I would do my daughters name in brownies! How fun.
***CONGRATULATIONS, flared0ne (non-blogger)!!!***
their comment... Might be tempting to "grease the skids" on some letters with a little petroleum jelly (mold release), then spray a bit of metallic color with sparkles, then fill them with silicon caulking gel. After they set up, I could put my email address in high-tech "Photo-shopped" solids on my bumper.
Sillycone has been so tickled with your responses that they are upping the ante and offering SIX sets of Letter Ice and Number Ice trays for this giveaway instead of just one. So your chances of winning have sextupled!
Plus, they will also ship worldwide, so ALL readers are eligible, no matter where you live!
Thank you, Sillycone!!!
Sillycone is a company that makes amazing trays that can be used in many, many different ways. Is it an ice cube tray or a candy mold? A baking tray for brownies or a mold for DIY soap crafting? The possibilities of Sillycone are almost endless, thanks to the wonders of silicone. It's oven-safe to 550ºF and also cool to the touch moments after being removed from the oven so it is great for kids. Sillycone products are fantastic for creating intricate shapes because silicon is very pliable, a characteristic that helps when you're washing all the nooks and crannies, too!

Sillycone's signature products are Letter Ice ($20) and Number Ice ($10) trays. These are not only cute, but a fun way to encourage your child to practice counting and spelling. Roo is obsessed with spelling these days, so she was very excited to try Letter Ice. We decided to make strawberry Jello for our initial test (please excuse my hideous baking sheets):
Pouring unset Jello from a bowl into the Letter Ice trays was slightly awkward. I ended up using a measuring cup (1/4 c.) and ladling the Jello into each cavity. Yes, my fingers looked like I was a blood-thirsty serial killer. But look what we ended up with!
The Jello wanted to stick in the Letter Ice trays (see the Frankenstein-y "R" that I tried to remove first) but I remembered this Sillycone tip: flash-freeze the trays for 10 minutes before unmolding. Worked like a charm. And Roo was THRILLED!
Honestly, my kids weren't really into eating the Jello once it was made, so I think we will stick to the ice tray application. Or maybe brownies. I also love the idea of spelling out a kid's name in colored letters and embedding them into a clear glycerine soap. I told Bob I might do that for holiday gifts and his eyes said "sure, you will." A girl can dream! Melting leftover crayon nubblins or homemade sidewalk chalk would be fun, too. Endless options abound, obviously. Geeky tech folks will be excited to see the upcoming Symbol Ice trays, too.

Buy Sillycone online or find a retailer near you.
To enter and win your own set of Letter Ice and Number Ice trays (a $30 value), please comment on this post with what you would spell first and what you would make it out of!
Entries will be accepted through August 20th and I'll pick the winner using Random.org. All readers are eligible, as the generous sponsor will ship worldwide! Sillycone is also letting me give away six sets!!! Only one entry/comment per person, please.
Make sure you leave an email address in your comment or that you have one accessible on your blog so you can be contacted if you win! Or, you may choose to check for your nickname at Prizey.Fetch, a site that compiles winners in one convenient place:
***Click Giveaways on my sidebar to see what else you could win!***
