Jojo is letter CRAZED...he would love letter ice. Also maybe I could make letter muffins? I'm pretty handy with the muffin batter. This would be fun for a birthday, to spell out the person's name in 3-D like that.

Might be tempting to "grease the skids" on some letters with a little petroleum jelly (mold release), then spray a bit of metallic color with sparkles, then fill them with silicon caulking gel. After they set up, I could put my email address in high-tech "Photo-shopped" solids on my bumper.

Pouring unset Jello from a bowl into the Letter Ice trays was slightly awkward. I ended up using a measuring cup (1/4 c.) and ladling the Jello into each cavity. Yes, my fingers looked like I was a blood-thirsty serial killer. But look what we ended up with!



The Jello wanted to stick in the Letter Ice trays (see the Frankenstein-y "R" that I tried to remove first) but I remembered this Sillycone tip: flash-freeze the trays for 10 minutes before unmolding. Worked like a charm. And Roo was THRILLED!



Honestly, my kids weren't really into eating the Jello once it was made, so I think we will stick to the ice tray application. Or maybe brownies. I also love the idea of spelling out a kid's name in colored letters and embedding them into a clear glycerine soap. I told Bob I might do that for holiday gifts and his eyes said "sure, you will." A girl can dream! Melting leftover crayon nubblins or homemade sidewalk chalk would be fun, too. Endless options abound, obviously.
