***WINNER PICKED 5/8 WITH RANDOM.ORG*** ***CONGRATULATIONS, MELONKELLI!!!***
her comment: Beach sounds good. I'd love to smell a "Grass" fragrance --
I think Gap had one years ago.

I love body products. Creams and lotions and soaps. Yummy smelling unguents. I'm all about them. But I generally despise the cutesy, powdery scents associated with babies and fruity, flowery pre-tween fragrances can be overpowering, to say the least. Not to mention the ingredient lists full of sketchy preservatives and chemicals in most of them.

And while I love lavender, it's one of the few choices available in the world of organic skin products, and sometimes it's a little too old lady. So I was really thrilled to try a new mom-owned and operated skin care line for kids called Stuff for Sprouts. Everything they make smells like… kids. But not in a yucky way. Their motto is:
Nothing gross.
Nothing weird.
Just good stuff for dry skin.

Stuff for Sprouts offers three basic products: Cream for Extra Crunchy Kids (supercharged moisturizer available in blueberry muffin and front lawn scents), Lotion for Crunchy Kids (a lighter weight moisturizer that comes in lemon and beach) and Lip Stuff for Crunchy Kissers (a wide stick-style balm available in chocolate, frosting and PB&J). They also have cute plush version of their mascot, Sprouticus, who I think is a sprout but looks like a fuzzy peach to me. Cute.

Roo has dry skin and a tendency to scratch at it until it's red and even itchier. She also hates putting lotion on, which leads to plenty of post-bath trauma now that she's an argumentative four year old. When we received our samples from Stuff for Sprouts, however, she was all over it. We liked the heavy consistency of the Cream for Extra Crunchy Kids: how delicious is that blueberry muffin scent?! I put some cream on Jasper's cheeks and nearly ate him up… Roo preferred the lighter feel and beach fragrance of the Lotion for Crunchy Kids. I loved it on her, too, because it made her smell like a Coppertone girl from my youth. I wanted to put her in a bikini and haul off to the beach. But we live in Kansas. Oops.

Overall, our favorite is the Lip Stuff for Crunchy Kissers. Roo is OBSESSED with this product. While it's touted as a lip balm, it is a convenient way for kids to apply moisturizer themselves. The roll-up stick just takes a dab to eliminate dry skin. I let her put the chocolate Lip Stuff for Crunchy Kissers in her nightstand drawer and it is almost gone already. For a girl who hates anything greasy, she has lubed herself up for the past week like a professional bodybuilder. Who smells like chocolate. Mmm. The frosting and PB&J (no actual peanuts, allergy folks!) "flavors" are great, too. I've been using them myself and they feel great on. Plus they make you want to kiss them off just so you can re-apply. Seriously.

To enter and win a Lip Stuff for Crunchy Kissers gift set (three tubes, one of each "flavor"- chocolate, frosting and PB&J), please comment on this post with your favorite scent from Stuff for Sprouts or a fragrance you'd like to see them introduce.

Entries will be accepted through May 7th and I'll pick the winner using Random.org. US/Canada readers are eligible. Only one entry/comment per person, please.

Make sure you leave an email address in your comment or that you have one accessible on your blog so you can be contacted if you win! Or, you may choose to check for your nickname at Prizey.Fetch, a new site that compiles winners in one convenient place:
