Everyone knows about Robeez by now, right? The Canadian soft-soled shoe that doesn't come off, no matter how sock-phobic your baby might be? Invented by Robbie's mom, one of the most successful mompreneurial businesses on the market? I still stubbornly pronounce it Row-beez, even though I know it's Rob-eez. Anyway, we love Robeez in all their permutations: plain leather, shaggy-lined booties, sweet critter appliques, sandals. We haven't tried the new harder-soled Robeez Tredz yet, but intend to just as soon as Jasper starts walking unassisted.



Just in time for spring, the company is launching the Robeez Weekend Collection. This line is similar to classic Robeez but with a bold white "sole" and elastic side vents like your favorite grown-up slip-on sneakers (cough, cough). They come in four sizes (0-24 months) and nine colors, from basic black and brown to fuschia and lavendar and lime. Even the traditionally subdued navy version has rainbow striped elastic to liven things up a bit:



We received the taupe, which initially reminded me of old guys in shorts and sock garters but they are unbelievably adorable on. The striped elastic adds a little boost of color and the faux white soles make Jasper look like he's ready for deckhand duties. Too cute!
