Mabel's Labels Tag-Mates giveaway

***WINNER PICKED 4/10 WITH RANDOM.ORG*** ***CONGRATULATIONS, #109 ANDREA!!!***
her comment: I like the skinny mini labels.

I never had issues with ownership of toys or clothes. I am an only child. Everything was mine. Not so my husband, the oldest of three. His dad used to carve initials on the backs of action figures so he and his brother and sister wouldn't argue over what belonged to who. Friends have told me horror stories of siblings "borrowing" things from their closets and ruining them, claiming "oh, I thought it was mine…" Over the years, my laissez-faire attitude has changed. Too many times not getting back loaned-out books and records has embittered me. Friends with older kids tell me the advent of school, with cubbies and lockers, and eventually sleepaway camp just snowball the problems of the missing. Don't even get me started with my pathological fear of lost-and-founds! Mabel's Labels are going to be my secret weapon, allowing me to ensure that nothing gets left behind.

Mabel’s Labels – Labels for the stuff kids lose!

Tag-Mates are the first line of defense in this arsenal of organization. Like most Mabel's Labels products, they can be customized with your choice of color and cute icon as well as a name. What is particularly awesome about Tag-Mates is that they stick directly onto clothing tags, as the name might imply, and stay there through washing and drying. You don't have to spend hours ironing them into your kid's clothes while packing at the last minute. Plus, they look a lot better than writing your kid's name over and over again in magic marker. Traditional iron-on tags are also available. They're just as cute as the Tag-Mates, but not nearly as convenient if you're an iron-o-phobe like myself.

We also tried the Skinny-Minis, tiny versions of Mabel's classic sticky labels. Roo uses these mermaid-emblazoned petite stickers to demarcate EVERYTHING, from books to dolls and even to cutlery as the example shows:

Mabel's Labels features novel labels for very specific uses. The Household labels include pre-printed sets for kitchen canisters and spices and other household needs. The Curbsides are intended for your trash and recycling bins, which would actually come in handy here in windy Kansas.

The Allergy Allerts would be great for schoolchildren with serious allergies, to keep their caregivers aware of potential interactions.

  4. I like the cord control labels. We have so many things plugged in it's impossible to figure out what is what. When we need to unplug something we have to guess and check to see if we unplugged the right thing!

  5. I have a lot of friends with a lot of babies. We agreed ages ago to share clothes, so when we're done with a certain size, we put everyone's clothes in a box and pass it along to the next friend who needs it. Since multiple people put things into the pile, we all have to label our clothes. I hate using a permanent marker on my precious baby clothes, so this would be perfect!!!
